Research in Brazil – by Clarivate Analytics

This report has been prepared for CAPES by Clarivate Analytics. It provides a high-level overview of Brazilian research performance describing recent trends and identifying where strengths exist.

It considers Brazilian research performance in a global context. It seeks to answer questions about how Brazilian research is changing and how performance has been affected by changes in policy and funding. Using bibliometrics to analyze Brazilian research papers published between 2011 and 2016 we have identified strengths and opportunities for Brazilian research and science policy.
